Saint-Gilles (NL: Sint-Gillis) is one of the nineteen municipalities located in the Brussels-Capital Region, bordering the municipalities of the City of Brussels, Anderlecht, Forest and Ixelles. With a population of over 47,000, it is marked by high rental costs in some districts, and other districts that are more working-class. Saint-Gilles is home to a rich multicultural community. It is easily accessible, as it is the location of Brussels-South Railway Station, one of the three large railway stations in the capital. This railway station links Brussels to neighbouring countries thanks to its high-speed rail lines. In addition, in terms of public transport, there are also several tram, bus and Metro lines. In terms of the sale and purchase of property, the municipality of Saint-Gilles is similar to the other municipalities in the Brussels-Capital Region, in that prices here are relatively high.
